How did you get started taking belly dance classes?
I started belly dancing because I needed the exercise first of all. Like most people I'm bad at starting on my own and I needed more structure. Plus, something low impact for my joints. This was perfect and sounded fun, unlike every other sort of thing I looked at. No surprise, I loved it. I've always wanted to dance and never had the chance. Now that I do I cannot say how free I feel. To be expressive, to be graceful, to be proud, to be doing something good for my body and mind.
